To All Elliott Yamin Fans
Caren,
I'm so grateful for every fan that Elliott has. In a way it validates my obsession (LOL) with all things Elliott. I just cannot get over how down-to-earth and classy he is. You'd almost think he took a course in how to influence people (again LOL).
It's really comforting to know that there are so many people out there who by their mere presence here send a positive message about Elliott.
Whatever you're doing ... keep it up. It's all good. The things I do are just that ... the things I like to do--kind of a literary-geeky-musicy kind of thing. I'm happy to do it for E. Some people like to post pics, others like to do the polling thing, some like to send gifts, and even others like to cheer others on. Everybody has a part to play and in the end, it will all contribute to making Elliott a success.
At times I wonder if even Elliott thought that he would have this effect on people--just a counter clerk in a pharmacy who was waiting his whole life for a shot like this. I don't even know him (personally) but I'm so happy for him. He deserves it.Keep spreading the word.
Mike
I think being a fan is like being a witness--you can only tell people what you know in the way you know how to tell it. There's a song that my daughter asked me to put up on the Elliott Station titled "The Fans" by a group called "Alabama." I think it talks about how important each and every one or you are. Here are the lyrics.
I'm sure Elliott thinks the same. What do you think? Before we ever made the headlines
Or toured the concert halls
We survived our share of barrooms
Stared at many motel walls
The years in Carolina
And all the one night stands
What kept the fires burnin',
back then, was you the fansWe two-stepped out to Texas
Round and round the dancehall floor
Played the fair in Minnesota
I wish we could've played one more
We hope you remember,
we're just the boys in the band
And what keeps the fires
burnin', is always, you the fansI wish this night could last forever
Oh, but the show must go on
We'll take home the memories
And we'll leave you with our songs
It's been good to see y'all
Can we come back again and again and again
What keeps the fires burnin'
in us, is you the fansAs long as you remember,
the boys in the band
We'll keep the fires burnin'
for all of you, our fans...

I am trying to find out how/where to see Elliott sing the national anthem at the 2nd game of the NBA finals, I missed it. I was told I could find it on itunes or abc.com, but no luck.
I have a copy of the audio in MP3 format. It plays on the Elliott Station once ever 4 hours. If you send me email from etrainstation.com I wiil send you a copy.
Michael, I watched (on the computer) a live interview Elliott did with some entertainment show -- and I was FURIOUS at one of their comments! "Say, Elliott, I hear you've had a whole lot of offers from dentists to fix your teeth...are you going to take them up on that?" Excuse me?? I hope Elliott realizes we like him EXACTLY the way he is NOW. We don't want him to change a thing about himself! Unreal.
P.S. Michael -- I love your site here. The ONLY suggestion I can think of is having an "edit" option for our comments. Is that possible so if I type a word incorrectly I can change it and/or add to what I've said? Thanks!
I had the opportunity to meet Elliott's ex-girl friend Amanda. She stood by him all the way thru Idol. Then when he started touring he pushed her to the curb. How common. If it wasn't for her he would never had gone to idol. She gave up everything for him. But he's young still and all the fame that he's getting. All the woman. But he needs to remember how he got there. He is a excellent artist and I love him still.
