The Children Are Our Future

When I first started listening to Elliott my grandson was almost a year old and I remember thinking I sure wish that he would some day want to be a singer like Elliott and grow up with the same drive to be the best he could be. I'm really encouraged that he loves music and vocalizes and claps along with the songs on the television. I sing to him often and he always smiles and giggles and tries to mimic the sounds--some really fun times.

Anyway, another ETrainer (Outofmymind) posted a link to a video on YouTube.com from the show "America's Next Talent" featuring an 11 year old named Bianca Ryan. If you haven't seen this you're in for a treat. Be prepared to be blown away.

If American Idol didn't have an age limit and it really was a singing competition, she might have given them a run for their money.



There was a Pepsi commercial a while back that showed a young James Marshall Hendrix going into a guitar store because the Pepsi machine was just outside. Across the street was a Coke machine next to an accordian shop. The gist of the commercial was that it was a fortunate thing that Jimi chose Pepsi and thus became a guitarist.

This next video is of an 11 year old young man, Antonio Pontarelli, doing a Jimi Hendrix classic on a violin. Again, be prepared to be blown away.
